THE COMMONWEALTH PROJECT RESPONDS TO COVID-19

COMMUNITY DRIVEN LONG TERM CARE PROGRAMS BUILT FOR NATIONAL IMPACT

The following programs have been implemented locally in Florida and New York. They are designed to be implementable in additional long term care facilities throughout the nation.

TCP OUTREACH

TCP Outreach works with local universities to assist seniors with everyday needs. In our pilot program in West Palm Beach, TCP Outreach has partnered with local and national Neighbor to Neighbor programs to develop a model volunteer program for college students to provide services to quarantined, self-contained or immobile residents in independent living in Palm Beach County as a result of the Coronavirus. TCP Health Corps volunteers will assist residents with everyday activities that they are prevented from completing due to the Coronavirus crisis within protocols developed by MorseLife that will not jeopardize their health.

Please reach out to us at info@tcphealthcorps.com if you are a university, national charity or an independent living association looking to participate in our program.

TCP CAREGIVER

TCP Caregiver is dedicated to the health and wellbeing of our caregivers. While our elders at their most vulnerable, we need our caregivers to be able to provide all the necessary services so we can curb the number of elders affected by the Coronavirus. In partnership with Bright Horizons, a National Child Care Organization, the TCP has been able to provide daycare services to Morselife caregiver’s children, free of charge. Given the nationwide shut down of schools and daycare facilities, our caregivers needed a resource in order to be able to provide the most care to the most vulnerable.

If you are a senior living facility in need of caregiver support, please reach out to us at info@tcphealthcorps.com.

TCP HEALTH MEDIA

TCP Health Media is dedicated to providing updated information to our elders and their families on ways to stay active, well balanced, and informed during the Coronavirus pandemic. Now more than ever, our seniors need a source of comfort and truth. In response to this, TCP Health Media is producing Community Service Announcements that will be aired on in-house communication networks of senior living facilities and displayed on public kiosks and websites.

Further, TCP Health Media activated a Learn and Share entertainment and communication tool for seniors to enrich their lives and facilitate communication with their loved ones. This program provides digital content on CCTV at MorseLife and other senior living facilities to engage in what would otherwise be in personal group programing to support mental health, reduce anxiety, and offer interactive entertainment.
